| In Arabic language, the verb to be does not exist in the present tense. It does exist in the past tense. In Arabic we say: howa rajul = He man. Notice that there is no is. Hom rijal= They men. Again there is not verb to be (are). In the past tense, we say in Arabic: howa kana na'iman= He was asleep. Also, hom kano na'imoon = They were asleep. |
